The beginning of a new career, the end of some really fun times...

Ryan starts his new career with Oregon Department of Transportation tomorrow.  He will be on the bridge crew which means he gets to climb to nauseating heights and repair, maintain and help build bridges in downtown Portland all the way out to Hood River.  He is really excited to learn lots of new things (read: drive really BIG trucks) and have more opportunities to advance.  We are so happy for our family since Ryan will have weekends off and even better, work four ten hour shifts!  We haven't had weekends off together for many years.  We made many happy memories at state parks (after all, it's where we fell in love!).  The picture above is when Ryan and Dan replaced the insulation under the nature center (there was a cat involved, you'll have to ask Ryan about that one ;) ).
