Date Night

Ryan and I look forward to date night each month.  My friend Lauren and I have had this good thing going since Sam was a baby.  We're not sure what normal couples do on date night...dance, drink, party?  We went to Voodoo Donuts and chose from a menu of donuts with names like 'Dirty Bastard', 'Portland Cream' and other ones that would make even my sister Ann blush.

We got some donuts to go and surprised the kiddos for breakfast the next day.

 Sam was pretty excited until...

he found out his doughnut was vegan!  Just kidding, he enjoyed his vegan pastry :)  We are trying him on a milk free diet for a few weeks to see if his red little cheeks clear up.  So far?  A little improvement, but the jury is out.
