Sam the Man Update

September was the worst and best month for Sam.  Sound confusing?  Just imagine what it is like day to day.  Sam's first two weeks at preschool were HARD.  He didn't know what the heck was going on and it was heartbreaking to watch.  His hand flapping got so bad we thought he may fly south for the winter!  Geesh.  We got some help from his ABA team and they went in and worked with the teachers for two weeks to set up a more visual schedule for him.  The last two weeks have been great!  He is really making improvements and participating with his class.  

Sam's speech has been increasing rapidly.  He is acquiring words at a rapid rate.  He is often stringing two to three words together at a time and though it is hard to understand, he is nailing it.  He is really into counting to 10 and his ABC's right now.  He also loves naming animals and colors.  All this therapy is paying off folks!  He is turning a BIG corner right now.
