First day of school for the Houston kiddos

Let's start with Ella who could not wait to get to her first day of school.  We got the teacher we wanted and she has some of her best buddies in class.  Her class has 31(!!) kids in it.  Yikes.  I am going to be volunteering once a week again and am looking forward to it.
On the second day she asked her teacher for more challenging material to work on...yup, that's our little smarty pants.
And perhaps you can see on Sam's face how excited he was about his first day of pre-K?  He is at a different preschool this year.  This one is the early intervention school and the teaching staff is excellent.  Sam's drop off was not pretty, but his teacher said he did an excellent job the rest of the day.  He is now officially potty trained and to say we are proud of him is a complete understatement.  He also pulled out an animal encyclopedia and started pointing to and naming about 10 different animals this morning.  He is really moving fast now and we are excited to see what this year brings for him.
